Very poor pressing. Terrible vinyl master. Again the ceiling is so confined with no air or room for the musicality to escape. GZ do it again with horrible mastering, doubly strange as this is mastered at 45rpm. No excuses. Don't waste your cash. The CD is magnificent.

Sound quality is actually slightly better than most of the Back On Black releases, which probably also explains the low signal levels.
Steel balls
Factory sealed copies of this album have the discs and their inner sleeves placed inside the covers gatefold, not within the pockets.
Nern
This CLUTCH album here sounds warm without surface noises BUT THE VOLUME IS LOW. I m wondering why the volume is so low in many represses.
Kipabi
Because this version is technically a bootleg, not licinsed by the band or label. Let them eat vinyl, Back on Black and Candlelight Records are all owned by the same company. Let Them Eat Vinyl and Back on Black are exploiting a copy right law for the UK. Source material is questionable and probably from a cd and thats why the sound is bad.
Ndav
Must have for my collection but the sound quality is lacking. Very flat sound w/ no dynamics.
skyjettttt
Maybe nit-picking here, but I have to agree that the volume levels are quite low. The cut between Crackerjack and Dragonfly is not pristine. It would've been better had these songs been on the same side. However, the sound across the two slabs is lovely and warm, there is very little surface noise (even though you have to crank it to hear it proper-like!). Will forever be (oh-so-slightly) disappointed that this special RSD vinyl release does not have all three bonus tracks. I can also confirm that my bonus track is '05'.

So, in short:this is an officially licensed pressing, although the band had no involvment in its making. The quaity of the sound is decent, especially for a color vinyl release. I supposed the 45RPM mastering helps in that department. The quality of the printed matters is above average considering modern standards. All in all, it's a good vinyl release, although the source for the mastering is definitely NOT the master tapes, but most likely decent quality files, and the listing price is quite high.I still consider myself lucky to have found a copy! This was really, REALLY needed on vinyl.
Wooden Purple Romeo
While the audio quality is not as good as I had hoped, it's as good or better than some of the newer stuff Clutch has put out under their Weathermaker imprint. The Beale St. vinyl in particular sounds awful.
Maldarbaq
Nice super warm sound on this CLUTCH album vinyl. Here we also have the best tunes from CLUTCH. Grab it, you ll love it (even the cd).
Balhala
Does anyone describe the inner sleeves? There are two inner sleeves. What they have, are they white plain or black or printed?? Thanks.
Alsantrius
One is black paper and the other has advertising for upcoming titles.
Shan
Disc 1 has a printed inner sleeve, and disc 2 has a plain black paper sleeve.
Ffyan
Official release, or not. I think this LP sounds pretty damn good! m/
Tegore
Does anybody have one that has G&T or David Rose as the "hidden" track
Manemanu
Considering the limited numbers of this release, it's highly unlikely that they would invest in three different masters for side D.
Zan
According to the band, this isn't an official release. http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/118495-po-clutch-elephant-riders/

Not licensed by Sony......Sony will not release nor let the band put it out.
Vut
Not licenced.....just like the other material Let them eat vinyl and back on black put out. These boots are legal in the UK and Europe and thats why they bother with quality. Let them eat vinyl and back on black releases are technically illegal in the states and are not suppose to be available in North America, most record stores can confirm this.
Sarin
The quality is way too high to be unsanctioned by Sony, the jacket and printing are professional, plus, if it were a bootleg company looking to make a quick buck, they certainly wouldn't have pressed a double album.
Najinn
Actually, it does seem to be an official release, although the band weren't involved.
POFOD
It's not a release the band has any involvement in, but it does appear to be licensed by Sony. Elephant Riders, along with Transnational Speedway League, Pure Rock Fury, and the self titled record are in a haze of record company chaos. The band not knowing about this doesn't necessarily mean bootleg.
Hellblade
Easily their Opus Magnum and most couraged release to me so far; even topping the already excellent debut. Delfeayo Marsalis perfectly fits in the odd-meters and jazzy arrangements, song-writing and musicianship here is just stunning, production also. I wish this would be re-released on vinyl sometimes.
KiddenDan
Yes! Thanks! It's already been on my list since last month when the releases became official: http://www.recordstoredaygermany.de/exklusive-releases/record-store-day-2016/Hoping to get it.
