I don't know what people are talking about saying it was low... it's a good mastered and pressed album...VMP doesn't fuck around they know what they're doing

Agreed! I was a little concerned but it sounds great on my system. I think some may not know ab how he (Madlib) tampers with sounds.

available as of this writing at Rappcats.com for about $35 shipped to US.

It would be great to get some more feedback on this press, if anyone cares to share. I'd like to cop it, but that Rainbo credit has me a bit nervous.

Got mine in the mail the other day. It's a very nice press. Nothing exceptional about it, but it was flat and even. Tracks are spaced out over two LPs so the sound is good. Keep in mind any noise you hear is almost certainly from the source records Madlib sampled. The construction paper cover has a nice craft feel to it, actually. And the screening on it (either well done by hand or mechanically) looks sharp. I had no issue with seams splitting, but mine was right into a plastic sheath the moment it came out of the wrapping.

im not an audiophile by any means but it sounds great to me. definitely heavy on the low end. you can tell it's a dj mix, sounds like its meant to be played very loud outdoors.

I was pretty excited to see this get pressed to vinyl, but I've been let down. The pressing sounds super flat and the cover is effectively construction paper glued together with elmers glue. The seams were splitting before I even got the plastic wrap off.

Was going to post exactly what @CloudStrifeMusic mentioned. Don't succumb to the vinyl vultures on this one! That aside, this record is fantastic and my favourite of the Medicine Show series. The last CD I ever bought and a long-awaited purchase on vinyl. A total head rush of Brazilian music spanning so many genres, spliced together in an organised kind of confusion which only Madlib could.
