Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal’s evergreen striker, has revealed the reason behind his stunning hat-trick against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals 3-2. Apart from training hard, he also wanted to show off to his daughter who was cheering him on at the Emirates Stadium.
Just seeing the 27-year-old striker score is already strange, but now he’s scored a hat-trick and you have to rub your eyes to see if it’s real or a dream. The last time he scored at least three goals in a single game was when he was at Man City in April 2022 (scoring four goals).
The Brazilian player thanked his daughter and family for their support and asked Arteta to send him to play in the league games this weekend, which will alternate at Selhurst Park.
“It’s a special moment,” Jesus told Arsenal TV.
“I admit that I had the pressure on my shoulders to score last night. And I even held my daughter’s hand and walked onto the field. So, I consider him to be the one who gave me the energy, the smile, and everything.”
“I told myself that I had to score the goal. So that I could celebrate it with my family. And dedicate the goal I scored last night to the other baby in my wife’s womb.”
Carabao Cup goal-scorer has left him smitten, with Jesus begging Arteta to keep him in the league against the Eagles (Dec 22)
“I think everyone is looking Promotion ufabet forward to the game, not just me,” Gabby added.
“The opponent has quality up front, in midfield and at the back, so we have to fight to the death to win the game.”
“We already know that it is not easy when we go away. There are clear examples. Sunday’s match is a new war, so we have to try to find a way to win the game.”
Jesus ‘ hat-trick was also his last at the Emirates Stadium, having been absent since December 17 , 2023.
