Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has urged his team to maintain their winning run in all competitions for longer than just seven games, especially when they play at Stamford Bridge in the final Conference League fixture against underdogs Shamrock Rovers (December 19), with the goal of winning by at least four goals.
The Blues, the top contenders in the Conference League, have won their last five matches, so they should be able to play at the same level even though they have already secured a place in the last 16.
The intention is not much to reward the regular fans or to give them a gift to spend during the Christmas and New Year seasons.
“We try to prepare for every game the same way: give our all and win the match,” he told the club’s official website.
“In today’s football world, it’s hard to find a team without a strong point. Every team has their own specialty. This is something that can be use to motivate them to work hard to get 3 points.”
“I have been following Shamrock’s game for 4-5 games. They are a good team.”
“Try to defend, block low as a team, duel eye for eye, tooth for tooth with every opponent, so I want to warn the kids that it’s tough every game.”
“It’s up to us to win this game – it might be a piece of cake or a little harder than before, but it’s definitely another game where we find a way to win.”
Chelsea’s hot streak in ทางเข้า ufabet this competition has pundits calling them the #1 favourites. But the Italian coach isn’t getting carry away.
“I like to take it step by step. The main goal is to finish the league phase. It’s almost time,” Enzo add.
“So after this game, we’ll talk about it because the goal is to advance to the next round first, then see how far we can go.”
