Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou is challenging his team to face Manchester United in a different format than the 3-0 win they won earlier in the season, with a Carabao Cup semi-final spot at stake for the winner.
Spurs had already taken three points away from Old Trafford three months ago under former manager Erik ten Hag, but now United have Ruben Amorim as head coach and of course there have been changes in a number of areas, the main one being the game plan.
That makes Ange see it as a challenge in the quarter-finals of the English League Cup, where he will face a manager 20 years his junior.
“The coach is like someone who just came in and immediately had an impact,” Postecoglou said.
“As I have said, Manchester United has its fair share of criticism, which is a challenge for anyone who takes on the job.”
“From what I’ve seen, Amorim has changed the system quite a bit. Given different players a chance to come through because he wants to study every player. And that showed at the weekend (2-1 win over Man City) that they will be a tough opponent.”
“Yes, I am looking forward to โปรโมชั่น ufabet the duel, to the challenge.”
“How urgent is it to reach the championship? First, you have to get yourself to the point where you deserve it.”
“As I said, this is a big game, a quarter-final of a cup. I’m looking forward to it. It’s going to be an explosive night.”
